Meet the junkies
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.

Growing up Amanda dabbled in almost every art form she could. She failed at Violin, was in more recitals and dance competitions than she could count, and even interned as a lighting designer for a nightclub in her college town. Her love of creativity stemmed from a young age and never stopped, leading her to intern for a Miami-based branding company creating verbal and visual brand identities for brands like Bacardi and Medtronic. She applied her eye for design and ear for sound copy to working for a healthcare company and eventually for a Miami food and lifestyle blog, creating communication, social and PR strategy. She experienced what she likes to call her “quarter-century life crisis” and moved to New York, where she found herself managing and overseeing strategy for multi-million dollar retail stores in Manhattan. Her time working behind the scenes in marketing and in-front of the curtain in retail management has led her to become a Jane-of-all-trades. When Amanda’s not taking on new projects, she’s traveling (like the Sagittarius that she is), dancing the night away at Brooklyn Mirage, or trying every new restaurant/bar in Williamsburg with her one-eyed Chihuahua Patsy Cline.

Lauren entered the world of branding in college when she started her own clothing line, Studded Youth. She would thrift old mom jeans, transform them into studded high waisted shorts and sell them on Tumblr, Facebook, and at college football games, resulting in International sales. That venture led her to pursue a degree in Advertising/Public Relations & Creative Writing. After graduating, she entered the industry as an assistant at an ad agency, where she quickly moved into a junior copywriting role. She then followed her passion for writing and worked as a staff writer for a health and beauty magazine. After following her call to move to New York City, she was hired as a copywriter for a independent beauty brand where she was put in charge of all social media and digital copy. After years of working for that brand, she tried her hand at freelancing. As a part-time bartender, she accumulated a total of 13 restaurants/bars, where she managed all aspects of their social media. A true Virgo at heart, Lauren is mad for to do lists and has a passion for crossing things off of them. When she is not working on her to do lists, you can find her in a headstand on her yoga mat, eating seafood for as many meals as humanly possible, or deeply analyzing the world around her through a psychological lens and Snapchat-ing about it.

Photographer
Growing up a PA band kid, Kay was always in tune with her creative side. Naturally musically inclined, Kay played the guitar and dabbled in piano. In college, Kay pursued a degree in Glass Blowing. She quickly assumed the role of photographing her and her classmates work, where she fell in love with the art of photography. Working in the Philly service industry gave her the opportunity to try her hand in food photography for a number of restaurants and bars. She then began working for a music venue where she combined her love of music with her love of photography. Making connections with local Philly bands, she became the on-hand show photographer for the punk/ska scene and now tours with a handful of bands capturing their photo and video content all over the U.S. When Kay isn't behind the bar of the dopest dives in Williamsburg, you can find her frequenting reggae shows, drinking Jameson neat, cuddling with her black pit bull Posh, or doodling on Pro-create.
